Assess the use of three different assessments, other than tests

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary, but should include any three of the following. Concept mapping allows students to identify concepts and organize them in hierarchical relationships, creative assessments allow students to use scrap books, home videos, cartoons, or interesting tasks in the science classroom to show achievement, journals and oral interviews promote reflective thinking on the part of the student, portfolios can be used by the student for interviews and conferences to show achievement levels, and practical assessments can provide information on students' skill and problem-solving abilities through the use of apparatus setups and experiments.
