The definition of e-business is the organized effort of individuals to produce and sell, for a profit, the products and services that satisfy society's needs through the facilities available on the Internet. E-business is used when someone is talking about all business activities and practices conducted on the Internet by an individual firm or industry.  On the other hand, e-commerce is a part of e-business and usually refers to the buying and selling activities conducted online.
