It is not a secret that presidential campaigns are becoming more and more expensive

What are the current rules that govern campaign financing? Do you agree with these rules? What would you change? Why? Do you believe there should be an absolute limit on how much money any candidate can spend? Why or why not?

What will be an ideal response?

An ideal response will:
1, Highlight the role of individuals, political action committees (PACs), independent expenditures, coordinated expenditures, and the types of money (soft, hard, and public) for campaign finance.
2, Discuss one or more current laws and/or court cases that are directly related to regulating campaign finance, such as the Federal Election Campaign Act (1971), the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (2002), and Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission (2010).
3, Make an argument for whether or not an absolute limit should be set on spending.
