Identify and describe the three scripts that organize and influence the expression of our sexual behaviors.
What will be an ideal response?
(1) Cultural scripts delineate which behaviors are acceptable and unacceptable as well as the sequence of sexual interactions between partners.
(2) Intrapersonal scripts help people to become aware of and interpret their own physiological responses that occur with sexual arousal. These scripts also provide the sequence of body movements and actions that will lead to the bodily events that produce sexual sensations.
(3) Interpersonal scripts make sexual interactions with others possible. These scripts lay down the social conventions one must engage in to successfully conduct sexual relations.
