Cannabis—useful plant that contains hundreds of psychoactive chemicals, particularly THC. Marijuana—dried leaves of flowers of the cannabis plant, smoked. Hashish—derived from cannabis plant and is stronger than marijuana. Psychoactive effects—problems with memory and learning, distorted perception, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, loss of coordination. Physiological effects—sedation, bloodshot eyes, increased heart rate, coughing due to lung irritation, increased appetite, decreased blood pressure. Students must present their own original side concerning legalization of marijuana.
