Discuss the connection between multicultural feminism and intersectionality.
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Multicultural feminism is the belief that inequality based on race, class, gender, sexuality, and religion should be ended. We can have a better understanding of how inequalities work if we take an intersectional approach to examining people’s life experiences based on race, class, gender, or sexuality. Intersectionaity recognizes intersecting identities such as being Latina or Black women to see how both racism and sexism impact these women’s life chances. Intersectionality allows for us to implement multicultural feminism and demand equality, such as pay equality, since women of color make less than White women.
