The costs of climate change include such things as adapting agriculture, preventing and treating increases in vector-borne diseases, and harm to trade and fishers. This does not include the cost of forced migration and illnesses such as heat stress, pollution, and allergen levels. Climate change contributes to violent conflict, particularly during drought and food insecurity. Terrorist groups may also take advantage of drought conditions to control water supplies or to lure recruits.
