What causes the condition called glaucoma?
What will be an ideal response?
In glaucoma, the aqueous humor has lost its access to the canal of Schlemm, impairing drainage of the anterior chamber of the eye. As aqueous humor continues to form at the normal rate, intraocular pressure rises, causing pressure damage to the soft tissues of the eye and eventually causing blindness if not treated.
