Ans: Varies. The matrix of domination conceptually allows for to see how individuals can be privileged or oppressed in different social statuses, based on race, class, gender, or sexuality for example. Women of color face oppression based on their race, gender and class since Black women make less than White women. The matrix allows for us to have a fuller understanding of multiple layers of oppression, since everyone’s oppression does not look the same.
