What will be an ideal response?

This field differs from other disciplines in regard to ethical issues because epidemiology is the study of human populations and involves individuals.  The subjects who participate in these studies often derive no direct benefit, even though the results of the studies are relevant to society in general.  Even when the subjects' names are not collected, information on other personal identifiers such as address, social security number or other identifier may be collected and could be used to identify a particular person.
