Briefly describe the pros and cons of curbside recycling

What will be an ideal response?

People take satisfaction in recycling and municipalities see it as a way to reduce waste. Recycling saves a great deal of energy expended in making products from virgin materials and offers entrepreneurs' opportunities to start new businesses and save money. Sometimes the expense of collecting, sorting, and processing recycled goods is more than recyclables are worth on the market. Furthermore, the more people recycle, the more glass, metals, paper, and plastic are made available to manufacturers for purchase, driving prices down. Recycling advocates argue, however, that conventional supply-and-demand economics and market prices do not account for external costs.
