How is peer pressure used constructively in group therapy for anorexia nervosa?

What will be an ideal response?

: The in-patient community forms the peer group. Because some members of the group are near program completion and others are just beginning, the group is constantly changing. Supportive confrontation, where maladaptive “fat-talk” and other maladaptive thoughts are confronted, is encouraged. The therapeutic peer group encourages healthy attitudes and rejects those who try to subvert the treatment. In this way, healthy attitudes are promoted.
