Sedimentary: formed from the cementation of loose clasts. Types include clastic sedimentary, chemical sedimentary, and biochemical sedimentary.
Metamorphic: formed from the transformation of any igneous or sedimentary rock due to extreme heats and pressure. Two major types are contact metamorphism and regional metamorphism.
