What is the current status of the Human Genome Project? What will be an ideal response?

ANSWER: The Human Genome Project has completed its primary goal: that was to sequence the human
genome and make the sequence public information. However, at this point all that is
established is the position of known genes and the location of potential genes. A great deal of
work remains to identify the potential genes and understand their potential interactions.
