Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of quasi-experimental research.
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Answer would ideally include: In situations where random assignment is not feasible, quasi-experimental research designs are advantageous. They represent a vast improvement over preexperimental designs. While they allow for conclusions that may provide some degree of confidence, they still do not control for all extraneous and influential variables; therefore, researchers cannot completely rule out some alternative explanations for the results they may obtain in quasi-experimental studies. The only solution to these concerns is to use true experimental research designs.
