Discuss how Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences might be used to enhance students' educational experiences. Include examples of how teachers might apply Gardner's theory in their classrooms

What will be an ideal response?

Students should be able to articulate the idea that, according to Gardner's theory, each individual has a profile of
strengths and weaknesses in eight different areas. The unique profile of intelligences is more important to
educational outcomes than is any generalized measure of intelligence. Parents and teachers must recognize each
child's relative strengths and weaknesses, and provide opportunities for children to excel in their areas of relative
strength. For example, children may be stronger in art, music, sports, reading, math, and so on. Classroom
curriculum should be tailored to the individual student as much as possible rather than employing a
"one-size-fits-all" philosophy.
