Why do we say that humans are part of a biological continuum?

Biological continuum is a concept that refers to the fact that organisms are related through
common ancestry and have varying degrees of similar behavior because of that ancestry. Humans
are said to be part of this because our behaviors are primarily a different of degree only from
other animals.
