What is a package, and how is it different from other broadcast news stories?

What will be an ideal response?

A package is a broadcast story that has been edited and voiced in advance so that the producer can plug it into a broadcast at any point in time. This is different from readers, voice-overs, and VO/SOTs because there are no live elements to the story, whereas other story types include at least a short live reading by an anchor or reporter.
