Contrast meteoroids and asteroids

What will be an ideal response?

Meteoroids are small debris scattered throughout the solar system, not detected until they hit our atmosphere and burn up as meteors or strike the ground and are recovered as meteorites. Asteroids are large enough to be telescopically detected and tracked; most of them lie between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, but some pass close to us as well.
