Primates include humans, lemurs, tarsiers, monkeys, and apes. They are mammals that have flexible
hands with 5 digits, strong social organization, and front facing eyes.
Anthropoids are monkeys, apes and humans. The cerebrum of anthropoids is more developed than in
other primates. Three families of hominoid: are recognized: the Hylobatidae, the Hominidae,
and the Pongidae. Hominid refers to members of the family of humans, Hominidae who walk
upright.
