is culturally regulated; (8 ) we disclose to others we like; (9 ) people overestimate the amount of selfdisclosure they actually permit; (10 ) self-disclosure does not automatically indicate attraction and
when inappropriate can cause negative reactions; and (11 ) self-disclosure involves risk and this can
determine how much we self-disclose.
