Describe the relationship between flooding and thunderstorms.?

What will be the ideal response?

ANSWER: Intense thunderstorms can be associated with floods and flash floods—floods that develop rapidly with little or no advance warning. Such flooding often results when thunderstorms stall or move very slowly, causing heavy rainfall over a relatively small area. Flooding may also occur when thunderstorms move quickly, but keep passing over the same area.?
