What is community relations and why is it important to organizations?

Community relations is an important, but often overlooked aspect of public relations. With trust in organizations falling dramatically over the past decade, according to the Edelman Trust Barometer, engaging with the community can be extremely valuable in helping rebuild that trust. But it is not enough to just talk about being a good community citizen, you’ve actually got to put boots on the ground to effect that type of change in attitude toward the organization.
