Describe the role of the pupil in human vision.

What will be an ideal response?

The pupil is the opening in the iris that allows light to enter the eye. The pupil expands in dim light and contracts in bright light. This process, known as the pupillary reflex, allows the eye to regulate how much light enters the eye. Our two eyes are coordinated so that they both expand or contract simultaneously.
