How would you install a spline-type joint into the transaxle?
What will be an ideal response?
To install a spline-type joint into the transaxle, push in on the axle while turning it to align the splines. Push the splines all the way in. If there is a circlip, it will click when it is in its groove. Pull on the housing of the joint to see if the snapring is seated but not pull on the axle shaft. The plunge joint could come apart. After the inner end is installed, position the stub shaft into the hub as far as it can go. Install the washer and a new axle nut and tighten the nut until it is snug. Reinstall the front suspension components. Do not forget to torque the ball joint stud bolt if that was reassembled.
