Describe the difference between mounds made by moles and pocket gophers

Both moles and pocket gophers create mounds several inches high consisting of loose soil. Mounds made by moles are roundish with the burrow directly below the mound. Pocket gopher mounds are crescent-shaped with the burrow entrance located near the center of the inside of the crescent.
