After studying the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, discuss the actions that are considered unethical for paralegals to engage in.

What will be an ideal response?

Paralegals may not engage in the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). While there
is no one acceptable definition of UPL, most definitions list similar tasks, including (1)
giving legal advice or opinions, (2) establishing the attorney–client relationship, (3) setting
legal fees for clients, and (4) advocating on behalf of a client. Paralegals may not sign
pleadings but may sign correspondence and other types of transmittal or status letters. Any
document that the paralegal signs must not contain legal advice, opinion, or client strategies.
