In what ways are prison-based EBP treatment programs effective?

What will be an ideal response?

EBP programs aid prisoners by altering their behavior and reducing misconduct while the prisoner remains incarcerated. The effects of prison-based EBP programs continue long after the incarceration is over, however, and are associated with significant reductions in recidivism post-release. As a result, these programs offer significant benefit to society. In addition to the impact of reduced recidivism on public safety and community welfare, lowered recidivism limits prison costs and decreases post-release hospitalization rates.
