What will be an ideal response?

Another way to compress and stretch materials is by pressing. This usually involves processes that are more complex than bending. Pressing uses male and female molds, sometimes called dies. Making the molds is expensive and contributes to the fixed costs of the product. Design specifications must state the mold dimensional tolerance and surface finish. Most molds are custom-produced using special metal alloys and are hardened to withstand the wear of production.
