Explain the uses of admit slips and exit slips

What will be an ideal response?

Answers should include most of the following:
• Admit Slips. They are 3 ? 5 cards you give to students for the purpose of their writing down questions about what you've been studying in your course. At the beginning of class, they might write questions in response to the following circumstances: A reading assignment done for homework, yesterday's lecture or discussion, a review of material to be covered on the next test, or a new topic you're about to study.
• Exit Passes. These are 3 ? 5 cards on which you ask your students to write a three or four sentence summary of what went on in class that you want them to tell you about. That summary goes on the front of the card. On the back, students can write a question relevant to the material covered in class that day: Something they want to know more about, some assumption they want to challenge, or some point they would like clarified. These passes are collected as students are leave class.
