Why would a designer place items (demos of function) in the morphological chart if he or she knows that they would not be feasible?
What will be an ideal response?
Even though a single demo function might not seem like a good idea, it should still be included because it might lead to other ideas that are feasible, or a combination of two or more demo functions might be used to generate a practical solution. Also, the designer who assembles the chart may not be aware of new technology that might make that single demo feasible. That is why there is a separate part of the design process for evaluating solutions, and why it’s important to use teams to provide different inputs.
