List some factors that affect one's food choices in adolescence
What will be an ideal response?
In adolescence, teens often gain more independence and in turn spend more time away from their parents. As a result, they often make poor food choices and skip meals. The rising occurrence of obesity in the population can often separate teens from their peers and cause them to lead an inactive lifestyle with little self-control over the amounts and types of foods that they eat. The desire for adolescents to fit in with their peers often leads to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia nervosa.
