How are iPhones being used in research?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Jabaley, Lutzker, Whitaker, and Self-Brown (2011) studied the use of iPhones in promoting effective parenting and reducing childhood maltreatment. The iPhone in the study was used to video the home environment and provide feedback on how to reduce danger for the child. The iPhone was used in place of some home visits and increased the opportunity to provide feedback to the parents by the home visitor. The researchers concluded that future research could focus on additional interventions to promote child safety. Also, the iPhone can facilitate quality and more frequent interaction between parents and professionals. It is much easier to communicate through a mobile device like an iPhone than make a home visit, which takes time and costs more.
