Briefly discuss the impact expressive arts therapy has on active participation.

What will be an ideal response?

In general, psychology has labeled the expressive arts therapies as “action therapies” (Weiner, 1999). Knill et al. (1995) have pointed out that all of the expressive therapies involve action; however, each form of expressive therapy has its unique properties and usefulness in therapeutic work. The practice of having clients make and do things actually may energize them.
