Explain the difference between a terminal moraine and recessional moraine and how they are formed
Terminal moraines and recessional moraines are types of end moraines, which are ridges of sediment deposited at the toe of a glacier. Terminal moraines mark the farthest advance of a glacier. Recessional moraines, however, are deposited during temporary pauses of a retreating glacier.
