A normal blood pressure is less than or equal to 120 mmHg systolic and less than or equal to 80 mmHg diastolic. Stage 1 hypertension is a systolic blood pressure between 140 to 159 and a diastolic pressure between 90 to 99. Stage 2 hypertension is a systolic reading greater than or equal to 160 and a diastolic pressure of greater than or equal to 100 mmHg.
