Explain how the checkoff method works.

What will be an ideal response?

First, the manager determines the number of tables available to be reserved in the restaurant. Next, the person taking the reservations checks off the size of the table that has been reserved. Next, the reservation manager, to assist in the planning of reservations, will have a printed diagram of the dining room and will block the guests' names and time next to the table they have been assigned, Finally, as more reservations arrive, the remainder of the dining room is blocked off as previously stated. The key factor in making this system work is having constant communication between the reservation manager and the people taking the reservations.
