Discuss the efficiency of CFLs compared to incandescent lights

What will be an ideal response?

CFLs require less power to produce a given amount of light and they last much longer than an incandescent light. The tradeoff for this greater efficiency is that CFLs are more expensive to manufacture than incandescent bulbs, although continued research and development of new manufacturing techniques plus the economies of mass production have brought their cost down considerably.
