In the SoS development process, explain why it is important that system selection and architectural design should be concurrent activities and why there should be close links between them.
What will be an ideal response?
System selection and architectural design have to be concurrent because the SoS
architecture may have to be modified depending on the systems that are available
for inclusion in the SoS. If architectural decisions are made before system
selection, then this may either exclude systems that provide useful functionality or
may make it very expensive to include these systems.
