Describe the lifestyle of the Paleo-Indians. How did they adapt to the extinction of the mammoths and other large mammals around 11,000 BP?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The Paleo-Indians hunted large game, like mammoths and bison, but also hunted small game, with a very special weapon called the Clovis point. They even had their own "refrigeration system" that consisted of stuffing the animal carcass with stones and putting it in a frozen lake for later use. The Paleo also used the large game for clothing, shelter, and tools. The Paleo adapted to the extinction by preying more on smaller animals and they began to collect wild plants, like roots, seeds, nuts, and fruits.
