Describe the function of class I and class II MHC proteins

What will be an ideal response?

These proteins help guide T Helper and Killer T cells to specific locations where the immune response is required. Class I MHC glycoproteins help Killer T cells find and destroy infected or malignant cells. Foreign antigens within the cell are displayed on the MHC protein so that Killer T cells can identify the infected cell. Class II MHC glycoproteins work with T Helper cells and are found only on a few immune cells (dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells). In this way T Helper cells can focus their functions on cells that are working within the immune response.
