Describe the difference between licensure and accreditation

?Licensure is a governmental process that requires that a facility meet certain regulations set by the state in order to provide care. Many government and private payers require licensure as a condition of enrollment in their program. Health care organizations also choose to pursue accreditation, which is a voluntary process in which facilities agree to follow a set of standards and receive recognition for having met those standards.
