How does a personality test differ from or resemble an integrity test?

Personality tests have much more variety in form and result in broader pictures of
a candidate than do integrity tests. Integrity tests offer fairly narrow testing into a
candidate’s work-related behaviors and ethical standards, while personality tests can offer insights into how a candidate might get along well with others, volunteer efforts above and beyond normal job duties, or have a personality profile that might lead to bullying, sexism, racism, or other undesirable characteristics. In terms of similarities, both of these tests suffer from a common problem—candidates are often able to predict which answers are most desirable to employers and can give those answers even if they do not personally believe them.
