Should the media decision be made before or after the copy is first developed?

What will be an ideal response?

To build a good advertising campaign, it is necessary first to pinpoint the objectives of the advertising campaign. An inventory approach, a hierarchical approach, and/or an attitudinal approach may be used to define the objectives. A good definition of the objectives will help in writing appropriate advertising copy and selecting the right media. It is difficult to say whether the media decision is made before or after the copy is developed. The relationship between the two is that of the chicken and the egg. The choice of media has an impact on the development of the copy, but so does the copy on the media. It is more appropriate to say that these decisions are simultaneously made to achieve the designated advertising objectives.
