For a paraffin treatment, describe the proper hygiene steps after the treatment
What will be an ideal response?
Paraffin that has come off the body should never be remelted and used on another client. Discard any unused paraffin in the cup or bowl; the paraffin in the unit can be reused since it did not come in contact with skin. NOTE: Do NOT pour paraffin down the drain; when it cools it re-forms into a solid and blocks the drain. Discard the unused paraffin in the wastebasket. Wipe the cooled paraffin off the candy thermometer and paintbrush and clean them with a disinfectant. Carefully shake out any particles of paraffin from the sheets into a waste can. Clean reusable plastic sheets with a disinfectant after each use. If disposable plastic sheets are used, discard them along with any paraffin particles. The cloth sheets should be laundered with hot water and detergent after each use. Shake out any paraffin particles from the towel into a waste can, then launder with hot water and detergent after each use.
