Discuss the major differences between DCOM and CORBA.
What will be an ideal response?
Both CORBA and DCOM access objects and services via interfaces. Both CORBA
and DCOM define interfaces using an IDL. CORBA uses IDL (Interface Definition Language),
which provides specific language (e.g., C++ or Java) prototypes that can be compiled
into methods in the language understood by an object, to specify the interfaces. DCOM uses
multiple interfaces.
