Describe the internal organization of a chloroplast. Be sure to list any chloroplast components covered in Chapter 3

What will be an ideal response?

The chloroplast has two membranes, an outer membrane and an inner membrane lying just inside the outer membrane. Chloroplasts contain individual disks called thylakoids, which contain the pigment chlorophyll. The thylakoids are arranged in interconnected stacks called grana. The grana are surrounded by a fluid called stroma.
