Define BATNA in a negotiation. Give an example.

What will be an ideal response?

BATNA (best alternative to a negotiated agreement) is a viable option available if
there is a stalemate. In effect, it is a fallback plan that prevents a negotiator from walking
away from the table empty handed. Examples will vary. One common example is when
selling a car, if negotiations with the buyer break down, the seller can donate it to charity
and take a tax write-off.
