birthday.
A theatrical rather than a literary form, a Beijing Opera performance usually comprises a
series of selections from longer works.
A performance also includes acrobatic displays.
A text is merely an outline for a performance and the author is not even listed on the
program.
All of the plays have a happy ending.
Each troupe has its own version of the plays they perform.
