When using a visual aid, what three general steps should a presenter follow? List at least four important things for you to consider and/or do when using a visual aid

What will be an ideal response?

First, a speaker should introduce the visual aid to the audience by explaining what they will see. Second, the speaker should point to the parts of the visual aid that he/she wants the audience to focus on. Finally, the speaker should reaffirm the major point of the visual aid, thus pointing the audience to the conclusion he/she wants them to draw.
Students can include any four of the following:
Prepare your visual aid in advance to show that you have carefully planned and thoughtfully prepared your presentation.

Use visual aids that are easy to see.
Ensure that equipment that you will need will be available when you speak.
Prepare for potential technology failure so that if there is a problem, you will still be able to give a good presentation.
Be sure to practice with the visual aid.
Be sure to speak to the audience and maintain eye contact, rather than talking to your visual aid.
Avoid passing objects or handouts out to audience members because this can be distracting.
Explain your visual aid to your audience.
